Thursday 13 and NaBloPoMo combined!

Thursday 13 is one of my favorite memes .. and before I stole some ideas from People magazine ..now I'm stealing from Runner's World .. same idea, interviewing someone by starting a phrase, and finish the paragraph (or sentence):
Here we go:
this is part of the Character for NaBloPoMo .. !!

I ran .. my first (and only!) half marathon October 1991
In 1984 .. I graduated high school
My current goal .. is to have a bikini body
My inspiration .. MOST of the times.. the Teenagers! haha
The teenagers and I .. have done well in our new little life!
I keep wondering .. what life is going to be like in two years.. big changes are coming .. graduations..
Back and hip pains .. have hindered my running, but I think I may be getting back on track
I travel with .. as little as possible.. but I think that is going to be changing soon
For the last month, .. I have been counting down the days until spring (46)
On my long-run days, .. I would step out of the house, and just run .. I miss those days 
I work with .. the most interesting group of people .. culture is lacking in this company, very sad.
I listen to ..all kinds of music when I run .. I love that moment of getting lost in the music
One day .. I hope to be completely relaxed

Hercules used to be one of my favorite shows when the teenagers were little .. I loved the theme song because it was such a happy, go-start- the-day- type- of- song.  So in honor of the theme Character and NaBloPoMo .. today's post is about Hercules the character .. he always overcame the challenges that were thrown at him.

Newest music added to my playlist:  Last week I added Tim McGraw with Faith Hill .. Like We Never Loved At All

Movie I saw: The last movie I saw was with Nelson .. The Killers .. it was very cute and funny.

Something yummy:  it’s all yummy!

The last place I ate at: I think would have been for lunch at the 99

Something that made me cry:  Putting my kids on that plane!

Something that made me laugh:  how about smile? I smiled at the box that was sitting at my door step!

Something that I look forward to in July:  more Summer!!

Something I want to remember from this month: Road races, lots of  kayaking .. just knowing we are in summer ..

Something that I am thankful for:  my running legs! (and of course always the usual!

Happy Almost Weekend!

Day 1 of NaBloPoMo

So .. it's Tuesday .. June 1 .. wow!! We are approaching the middle of 2010.. what the heck happened this year? I've been reflecting a lot in the last couple of weeks days..(okay, okay ..months)... and have noticed that I am losing my zing for blogging. I always check out all my favorite bloggers and noticed A Slice of my Life had rejoined National Blog Posting Month ..something I had contemplated before, and thought that perhaps NOW was a good month to do it. Of course.. it helps that NOW is the theme for NaBloPoMo .. basically I have committed to blogging every day for a month ....

So today, June 1 here is my first blog for the month!
Yesterday Cyn and I got up at 2am and hit the road at 2:30 to catch the sunrise from East Boothbay .. what we didn't realize was that Canada had big brush fires and the smoke had circled Maine! Well, our persistence and fortitude didn't stop these ladies!

We had a great day ...I'll save the other pictures for moments when I am looking for an idea!!
